Respect for All Week


During this year’s Respect for All Week, the theme we are highlighting is “BE YOUR BEST SELF”

We are encouraging students to be their best self by practicing self-esteem, being kind to themselves and others, building healthy relationships and accentuating their best qualities.

RFA Actvities

● Monday, February 10

  • Respect for All Week Kicks-Off with “National No One Eats Alone Day” making new connections and showing kindness to others. Have lunch with somebody new!

  • LUNCHTIME ACTIVITY: Students can participate in 1 of 3 fun stations: Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest, Calm and Color or create a Valentine Craft for someone special.

  • All students will have an opportunity to participate in a school-wide poster contest on the theme of Respect for All-What Does It Mean To You? There will be a winner and a runner up which will be announced.

  • Throughout the week, in AVID and Health classes, students will highlight their Best Self by writing some things they love about themselves.

● Tuesday, February 11

  • School-wide assembly with guest speaker, Mr. Rohan Murphy, a Paralympian, wrestler and youth motivator. 12:15 PM-1:00 PM.

  • LUNCH TIME FUN ACTIVITY: Students can join SAPIS Counselor, Ms. Mcrae, who will be helping our students create their own positive affirmations, “Without Drugs, I am my

  • BEST SELF campaign”. They are also encouraged to commit to a drug-free lifestyle.

● Wednesday, February 12

  • Reading Ambassadors and Drumline will visit PS 100 to read to students about diversity, tolerance, kindness and being their best self.

  • Students will be recognized by teachers for “Being Their Best Self”.

● Thursday, February 13

  • Our Student Council will be selling chocolate roses during lunch.

  • Visit from Harlem Magic Masters Motivational Athletes and Anti-bullying Presentation for6th, 7th and 8th Grade to take place in gymnasium 7th and 8th Periods. Details TBD.

● Friday, February 14

  • Student Council is celebrating Valentine’s Day and asking students and staff to wear red, pink or hearts to promote self-love, acceptance and kindness to all.

  • Classes who showed their best self by winning PBIS January reward, will visit Queensborough Community College
